    I haven't used Rust yet, but I've seen people say it has benefits to help reduce the possibility of memory bugs, etc.. If Microsoft is planning to als eliminate C and C++ development support from Visual Studio etc., I think that is a bad idea though - C and C++ have historically been used for a lot of projects, and in some cases, it's still useful to be able to make use of lega C and C++ code in a project; also, to be able to load and use libraries with C interface in a project.

    I have also heard that. Others will say that it depends more on the developer... i.e. if they are poor coders, their code will have memory
    bugs no matter if they are using Rust, C, or C++... and that, with proper programming, C and C++ are safe.

    That said, the US government issued an opinion sometime in the last year
    or so that C and its derivatives should be moved away from, and several projects... including linux... seem to be moving towards Rust.

    I agree that they need to keep legacy projects in mind but, from what I
    have experienced in past, they will try their best to eventually make
    those project obsolete if you don't migrate like they want you to.
